What is ERP software?
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software brings processes such as sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, accounting and HR together in a single database. In Turkey, the terms "ERP program", "accounting program" and "commercial program" are often used interchangeably, but their scope differs significantly.
Accounting software and invoicing software focus on financial records, while ERP covers the whole operation: a single sales order updates stock, production, shipping and accounting at the same time.
Categories of ERP software used in Turkey
Solutions in the Turkish market fall into four main categories. The examples below only illustrate each category; all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
- Local packaged ERP and accounting software: Solutions developed in Turkey such as Logo (Tiger, Go, Netsis), Mikro, ETA, Nebim and Uyumsoft, known for strong local compliance and wide dealer networks.
- Global enterprise ERPs: Comprehensive systems such as SAP (S/4HANA, Business One), Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Oracle NetSuite, typically chosen by mid-size to large and multinational companies.
- Cloud invoicing apps: Subscription apps such as Paraşüt, BizimHesap and Logo İşbaşı that focus on invoices, partner accounts and collections and can be started quickly.
- Open-source ERPs: Modular systems with open source code such as Odoo and ERPNext, adapted through implementation partners.

Where does Odoo fit?
Odoo combines the modern interface and broad app range of a global product with the flexibility and low license cost of open source. ERP, CRM, e-commerce, website, projects and HR are on one platform, so there is no need to buy separate programs and integrate them.
For international companies, Odoo has another advantage: the same system can be used by teams in several countries and languages, while local requirements are covered in Turkey. Which ERP for which situation?
- If invoices and partner accounts are enough: Cloud invoicing apps or Odoo Invoicing are a good start.
- If you are accounting-centric with standard processes: Local packaged software is a strong option.
- If you want inventory, manufacturing, CRM and e-commerce in one system: Odoo ERP stands out for its balance of flexibility and cost.
- For multinational and complex structures: Evaluate global ERPs alongside Odoo Enterprise.
Moving from Logo, Mikro, Netsis or other software to Odoo
When moving to Odoo from your current software, partner records, products, opening balances and required historical data are migrated.
