Typical problems in wholesale
- Customer-specific prices tracked in spreadsheets, leading to orders at the wrong price
- Lost sales or excess stock because real stock by warehouse is unknown
- Purchasing driven by habit rather than actual need
- Mismatches between deliveries, delivery notes and invoices
- Customer balances and due dates seen too late
Running wholesale operations on Odoo
When a salesperson enters an order in Odoo, the customer's price list and current stock are applied automatically. The confirmed order creates picking and delivery orders for the warehouse; once delivered, the delivery note and invoice are produced from the same data. With account statements and reconciliation, your collections team always knows what each customer owes.
On the purchasing side, reordering rules and forecasted quantities suggest vendor orders based on need, reducing both stock-outs and excess inventory. See our inventory management page for stock features in detail.
Field sales and distribution
Field sales reps can access Odoo from a mobile browser to see customer balances, stock and past orders and create new orders. Notify your team instantly of important events with our push notification module.
Marketplaces and B2B e-commerce
If you also sell on marketplaces or your own B2B site, we set up order and stock synchronization with our integration services. You can also build your own B2B ordering site with Odoo's website and e-commerce apps.
